A Visit to Yesterland - The Discontinued Disneyland
Tomorrow at 4 AM we hit the road for Disneyland. Unlike other annual trips to LA, which sometimes include a stop at The Happiest Place On Earth, this annual trip is just to spend 2 or 3 days there, with the rest of the family, all the kids, etc. This will be (by our best estimate) my 37th trip to Disneyland. Those trips were spread out over 33 of my own 36 years. To me it's like my old neighborhood...I know the streets, the layout, the buildings so well it's like going home.
Who the hell cares?
Nobody. But anyway, the link above takes you to Yesterland, a very cool site if you have ever been to Dizzyland in the past 40 years. They chronicle all of the D-land attractions which are no more. Sometimes that's a good thing, but sometimes it's sad. If you don't remember any of them then I guess the site might not mean so much...I have been on/in a huge chunk of their catalog tho.
