Well, here it is...the day after. Taking 10mg Vicodins every few hours, those and pennicillin, eating soft foods. Not much pain. Feel kinda floaty all day. Slept about 24 hours out of the last 48...maybe more. Kinda weird not having a tooth there. Suppose I'll get used to it eventually. I still haven't cleaned up the tooth, so no pix yet :) That's about it for now. Posted at 8:52 PM |

correction...not groggy as hell slept ALL day Just took the tooth out of the little package they sent it home in. Looks pretty cool. Grossed out Stacy tho. I'm quite surprised at how far out of one of the roots the drill that Dr Sean Sullivan broke off in there was sticking. When I clean the tooth up I'll post some shots here :-D Posted at 12:15 AM |

So the tooth is out. They gave me a 10mg Valium to take a hour before going in. Then went under general anesthesia for the extraction...took less than an hour, but now I have to sit here in bed eating soft food, groggy as hell, bag of frozen peas on my face, eating very soft foods. yum Posted at 10:44 AM |

Tomorrow is the big day. Tooth 31 is coming out. You remember tooth 31, don't you? It was having troubles, so my dentist said "we need to do a root canal, and post and crown on that tooth" This translates to "you need to bend over so you can find out how shitty modern-day dental plans really are, and while you're there I'll take an extra $2000 from you on top of whatever paltry portion they cover, if you please" All except without the if you please part. So I get the root canal, and then I get the post and full gold crown, and it's never right. It feels too high...so they "fix it"...still not right. I go back many times, dentist essentially says I'm crazy, and that I'm not actually feeling what I'm feeling. I've only had this mouth my whole life, 24/7/365. So anyway, fast forward a year. I have a new dentist. He sends me to a specialist. Specialist looks, says "you have a cracked root, and it's caused an infection in the bone which is why you've been feeling what you have been feeling all this time...you need surgery." So I go to the surgeon. Options? Take it out, and leave it out, or take it out, do a bone graft, then an implant, then a crown. Option A - $1500...Option B - $5000, and a lifetime of extra special finicky care on that tooth. So tomorrow morning the tooth goes bye-bye...at least from my mouth. I'll be keeping the tooth. I sure fucking paid for it. By the way, Dr Sean Sullivan of Concord, California. Fuck you, fuck your bills, and fuck your practice. You suck. Posted at 9:14 PM |

T-ShirtsThatSuck.com...the leader in Offensive Apparel... Despite what they think of themselves, their shirts neither suck, nor are even close to being the most offensive. I suppose they didn't actually say "most offensive" there. Anyway, good shirts, and I keep forgetting their name so I figure if it's on my blog I'll have a way to find it later. Posted at 9:10 PM |
